We are currently seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join our team at our Sunrise location!
This position will work alongside other business analysts and report directly to the project team lead. Your main tasks will include performing detailed requirements analysis, documenting processes, and performing some user acceptance testing. To succeed in this role, you should have a natural analytical way of thinking and be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.
- Leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies.
- Staying up-to-date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems.
- Conducting meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings. • Performing requirements analysis.
- Documenting and communicating the results of your efforts.
- Effectively communicating your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
- Gathering critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports.
- Working closely with clients, technicians, and managerial staff.
- Providing leadership, training, coaching, and guidance to junior staff.
- Allocating resources and maintaining cost efficiency.
- Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements.
- Performing user acceptance testing.
- Updating, implementing and maintaining procedures.
- Prioritizing initiatives based on business needs and requirements.
- Serving as a liaison between stakeholders and users.
- Managing competing resources and priorities.
- Monitoring deliverables and ensuring timely completion of projects.
- Provides superior customer service while managing relationships with end users, business area leaders, partners and vendors to ensure deliverables exceed expectations.
- Utilizes Development Life Cycle practices and adheres to established processes and documentation delivery for the analysis, design, testing and implementation of new/modified computer applications.
- Working knowledge and understanding of financial institution operation and business processes including technology solutions used in financial institution operations.
- Demonstrated conceptual thinking and analytical skills. • Knowledge and compliance of Financial Institution regulatory requirements.
- Adhere to all Federal and State laws and regulations governing applicable to the Credit Union, including the Bank Secrecy Act.
- Maintain knowledge with BSA Compliance training:
- Every employee is required to uphold the credit union’s compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and anti-money laundering policies and procedures. Specific functions with BSCU will take into consideration the awareness of unusual or suspicious activity that is relevant to the department.
- In addition to any other assigned training courses, online BSA and OFAC courses must be completed at least annually, as made available by the Training and/or Compliance Department.
- Maintains comprehensive knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act, Customer Identification Program, USA Patriot Act, OFAC, Fair Lending and Credit Card Act.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience: Seven or more years of experience in supporting business applications environments within a financial institution environment.
Education: Four-year college degree or equivalent work experience.
Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Scope of work will include access to sensitive data and financial perspectives requiring extreme confidentiality. Communication may involve motivating or influencing organizational leaders.
Additional Consideration:
- Experience with Fiserv Spectrum Credit Union System.
- Experience with Meridian Link LOS and Lending Operations.
- Experience with member facing online banking and Apps.
- Direct experience with, or oversight of, SQL relational databases.
