BEEKEEPERS California Apiaries LLC has 4 openings for beekeepers for temporary, full time employment. Workers will inspect, feed and medicate bee hive colonies. Workers will harvest and extract honey using an automated uncapping line and a centrifuge. Workers will raise queen bees and start nucleus colonies. Workers will also propagate bee hive colonies via splits. Workers will also assemble, and paint equipment such as supers, frames, feeders, lids, and pallets. Workers will mix and feed pollen supplement patties. Workers must have at least three (3) months experience and cannot be allergic or scared of bees. Workers must be able to lift at least 75 lbs. Employer will offer 40 hours per week, Monday thru Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, depending on weather conditions work on Saturdays and Sundays may be required. Workers are needed to begin work on 01/15/2017 through 11/15/2017. Work will be performed in multiple worksites throughout Hughson, California and the surrounding areas, Selz, North Dakota and surrounding areas.  All transportation costs to and from the work sites will be provided by the employer at no cost to the workers. Workers will be paid no less than $13.00 p/hour in California and no less than $13.79 p/hr in North Dakota; returning workers with more experience may be paid a higher wage rate.  Overtime hours may vary, depending on weather or other conditions, and will be paid at per California overtimes rules and regulations. The worker is guaranteed to be paid at a minimum ¾ of the contract. The employer will use a single work week as its standard for computing wages due. Workers will be paid bi-weekly by check. The employer will make all deductions from the worker’s paycheck required by law. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Housing with a full kitchen will be provided at no cost to the worker.  Daily meals will be provided at a rate of at least $12.07 p/day during travel to a maximum of $51.00 p/day with receipts. The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. Workers will be reimbursed in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing and other related fees, including those mandated by the government.
