POSITION OBJECTIVE
Under general supervision analyze customer and technical requirements, and design and deliver high quality and robust university-wide customer relations management (CRM), robotic process automation (RPA), and enterprise content management (ECM) systems and their associated third-party systems. Perform upgrades, configurations, troubleshooting, testing, and documentation creation, in support of both platform architecture and user facing applications and products. Responsible for developing and retaining core knowledge of the CRM, RPA, and ECM applications and troubleshooting operational issues.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Perform configuration, integration, installation of new application releases, on-going maintenance, and application patching. Maintain the reliability, availability, and performance of application environments. Cooperate with multiple technical teams to ensure smooth releases. Analyze, design, write, and test university-related application software. Perform data management tasks, including designing and developing programs to address requirements for data conversions and other data processing. Write programs to extract, translate, load, and verify data. Participate in creating test plans, data, procedures, and scripts. Create test data for multiple or complex projects. Identify problems with existing application design and functionality. Research and develop technical requirements for enhancements to existing or new application software. Utilize and develop best-practices for designing, building, testing, and deploying applications. (55%)
- As part of a project team, work with stakeholders for planning, formulating objectives, estimating tasks. Participate in evaluation of requests/enhancements. Test and debug applications in conjunction with stakeholders and customers. Translate technical or procedural information into specifications or action plans. Documents programs written or modified according to departmental standards. Assist with technical requirements. (30%)
- Assist in training of new users and grow the CRM skill set across the university, promoting adoption. Conduct regular internal system audits and prepare the CRM and clients for system upgrades. (10%)
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Graduate or Equivalent and at least nine years of relevant experience. -OR- Associates’ degree in computer science, information technology, or related field and five years of progressive experience. -OR-Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field and at least three to five years of progressive experience.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Experience in database design, complex data integration, system analysis and basic knowledge of data modeling and data warehouse.
- Working knowledge of the software development life cycle.
- Working knowledge of systems design principles, methodologies, and tools, including those applicable to web-based environments.
- Working knowledge of basic database theory, design rules and development practices, including data modeling, data flow, and entity relationship analysis.
- Working knowledge of project management methods, tools, and techniques.
