THE ORGANIZATION
Central Valley Regional Center (CVRC) is a non-profit agency and has provided the coordination of services to individuals with developmental disabilities for 50 years and is under contract to the State of California. CVRC employs approximately 450 employees working out of three offices (Fresno, Merced, and Visalia) in a six-county area. CVRC is one of 21 Regional Centers in California.
THE POSITION AND JOB SUMMARY
CVRC is seeking a Service Coordinator to provide service coordination and advocacy services to people with developmental disabilities who are served by CVRC. Service Coordinators must regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment in assessing clients needs for services and assisting clients in developing Individual Plans. Service Coordinators ensure that clients and their families have access to services and evaluate progress toward stated goals. Service Coordinators monitor the overall health and safety of clients; serve as liaisons to facilities and monitor the quality of services provided to clients.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors Degree in social work, psychology, nursing, or related field and two (2) years of experience in developmental disabilities or related field OR a Masters Degree in social work, psychology, nursing, rehabilitation counseling or related field and one (1) year of experience in developmental disabilities or related field.
