STREETS AND PARKS MAINTENANCE WORKER I/II.
Salary DOQ. (Compressed work schedule Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM). Recruitment is open for a full time, regular Streets and Parks Maintenance Worker I/II in the City of Atwater’s Public Works Department, Streets and Parks Division. Under supervision, to perform a variety of unskilled, semi-skilled, skilled, and physical labor duties in the maintenance, repair, construction, and clean up of City streets, street trees and parks, and recreational facilities; to maintain streets and street trees; and to do related work as required. Serves as Disaster Service Worker. FLSA Status: Non-exempt. Bargaining Group: Miscellaneous Unit. Incumbents in this class may be subject to twenty-four hour “call out” and standby. Minimum qualifications for Streets and Parks Maintenance Worker I include, but are not limited to: Equivalent to graduation from high school; one (1) year of work experience in streets and grounds maintenance work or general maintenance; possession of a valid California Commercial Class “B” driver’s license with appropriate endorsements within six (6) months of appointment; and possession of, or ability to obtain, appropriate certification or licenses as designated by the City of Atwater. Minimum qualifications for Streets and Parks Maintenance Worker II include, but are not limited to: Equivalent to graduation from high school; two (2) years of increasingly responsible work experience in streets and parks and grounds work; possession of a valid California Commercial Class “B” driver’s license with appropriate endorsements; and possession of, or ability to obtain, appropriate certification or licenses as designated by the City of Atwater.
