The City of Patterson’s Public Works Department is seeking to fill a Full-Time Environmental Compliance Specialist position. Under general supervision, assists the department with the development and implementation of new or revised environmental programs (such as industrial waste pretreatment, Fats Oils and Grease (FOG), storm water, water conservation and/or recycling), procedures, regulations, and guidelines related to environmental enforcement, compliance, inspections, budgeting, and reporting; coordinates assigned activities with other divisions, outside agencies and the general public; and provides staff assistance.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent. College coursework desirable.

Experience: One (1) year of responsible experience in public works related projects, environmental compliance, customer relations, communications, or managing projects.

Licenses: Possession of a valid Class C California Driver’s License or the ability to obtain.
