Must meet minimum standards for the appointment and continued employment of public safety officers in the State of Montana, High School graduate or Graduate Equivalency Diploma (GED), possess or be eligible for MT driver's license, pass extensive background investigation and criminal history check, be of good moral character, possess good communication and decision making skills. Applications will be accepted from P.O.S.T. certified officers and eligible applicants who meet the criteria and are not P.O.S.T. certified, P.O.S.T. certified officer applications would receive preference.
