Basic Function:
We are seeking a full-time Research Assistant in the Department of Anthropology. The position is funded by National Institute on Aging Grants (5 years) to examine the interrelationship of age-related changes in cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, as well as neurodegenerative diseases, in humans and nonhuman primates to understand their impact on longevity and health span.
Minimum Qualifications:
A bachelor's or master's degree in Neuroscience, Biology, Biotechnology, or Biomedical Sciences; prior experience (1-2 years) in a laboratory setting
Highly motivated, dependable, and consistently on time; strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; effective problem-solving skills; adherence to rigorous scientific and ethical standards for research; demonstrate professional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; ability to work independently with limited supervision
Wage: $15.00/hr ($31,000 annualized) - $19.71/hr ($41,000 annualized)
