CEE HR Coordinator
Job Description:
This position will be the HR Originator that manages all human resource and other administrative tasks in Civil & Environmental Engineering (CEE) Department. Manages all personnel forms for CEE faculty, staff, transient, postdocs, research associates and adjunct faculty. Acts as Effort Certification Reviewer. Assist the Chair of CEE in gathering information for planning sessions, mid-year reviews, and performance evaluations for CEE faculty and staff. Also assists chair with performance evaluations. Organizes travel for faculty, prospective employees, and invited guest. Will be under the supervision of the business manager.
Job Responsibilities:
50% - Act as HR Originator and manage all personnel forms for CEE faculty, staff, transient, postdocs, research associates and adjunct faculty. Assist the Chair in handling all personnel matters including but not limited to hires, appointments, reappointments, sabbaticals, and promotions. Process costing allocations for faculty, postdocs, and research associates. Complete one-time payments for the College of Engineering FE review sessions.
20% - Assist Chair in gathering information for planning sessions, mid-year reviews, and performance evaluations for CEE and C4G staff. Assist Chair in gathering information for annual faculty evaluations, promotion, tenure reviews and reports on faculty activity in research, teaching, service, etc. Assist with Faculty 360. Assist department award committees in gathering information for faculty/student award purposes.
15% - Process all J-1 visas, H-1B visas for the department. Handle and keep track of effort certification reviews, mandatory training, driving forms for faculty and staff.
10% - Prepares itineraries, travel forms and organizes travel and lodging arrangements for faculty, prospective employees, visiting scholars, and invited guests. Stays up to date on all policies pertaining to travel to ensure compliance. Requests parking passes for all campus visitors/vendors.
5% - Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with some related experience required
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree Business Administration with one year of related work experience.
