HVAC Service Technician
Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems (commercial and residential) to prevent equipment failure, such as cleaning coils, replacing filters, belts, motors, etc on the systems. Diagnosing problems, repair/replace worn or defective parts. Possible repairs include but are not limited to repairing, calibrating or replacing controls, switches, thermostats, transformers, wiring fans, pumps, compressors, motors. Check condensate drain lines to ensure that it is free from any debris and draining properly. Able to fix and/or clear clogged drain lines. Must be able to weld/braze refrigerant lines and check for leaks. Must maintain company issued vehicle i.e. keep clean and secure and organize tools, keep inventory of equipment and parts on vehicle. Keep a clean work space in the customer’s home or commercial building. Must possess customer service skills, be honest and trust worthy. Ability to climb ladders to roofs and work in small spaces as needed. Must be able to work some nights and weekends when needed.
