SUMMARY: This position is responsible for providing basic workers’ compensation analysis and administrative support for the Occupational Health and Safety practice.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
- This position is an hourly, non-exempt and full-time role.
- This position is located at ABD’s San Mateo or San Francisco offices.
- This position reports to SVP Practice Leader or Senior OH&S Consultant.
ESSENTIAL TASKS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following steps to provide simplicity and service to our clients. Others may be assigned.
- Conduct basic analysis of loss run and claim summary reports to identify discrepancies and/or changes in workers’ compensation loss data.
- Obtain unit statistical reporting data and calculate experience modification projections.
- Create and update basic OH&S informational bulletins for ABD clients and account teams.
- Maintain and update the OH&S portion of ABD Connect (client portal).
- Coordinate and collaborate with the Marketing team to host client workshops and events.
- Communicate with adjusters to obtain claim status updates and review current action plans for timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of information.
- Act as the OH&S point of contact to address basic workers’ compensation inquiries and requests from internal service teams and clients.
- Work with the OH&S Coordinator to gather data from claim summary report and provide additional data to create an end of year stewardship report.
- Perform other duties and assist with special projects as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Education required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of work experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION
- CA Department of Insurance Property and Casualty and/or Accident and Health License (within first year of hire).
