Curator of Collections & Exhibits
The City of Canon City is seeking a Curator of Collections & Exhibits for the Royal Gorge Regional Museum and History Center.
This full-time position is assists with the development of collections, exhibits, and educational programming as well as performs a variety of activities for the RGRMHC, including acquisitions, cataloging, preservation, maintenance, exhibition, and interpretation of collections, with an emphasis on museum objects. Provides reference service and performs all facets of archival work. Schedule for this position is Monday thru Friday, but includes some Saturdays.
The salary range starts at $31,065 plus participation in the City's benefits according to City Policy.
The position requires a Bachelor's degree in History, Public History, Museum Studies, or related field; five (5) years museum experience. (Master's degree in History, Museum Studies or related field preferred); or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
