Finance Manager

Tri-Dam Project is Hiring! We are looking for a Finance Manager in our administrative offices in Strawberry, California. Tri-Dam Project is a joint venture (partnership) between Oakdale Irrigation District and South San Joaquin Irrigation District. 

The monthly salary range for the Finance Manager is $11,664 - $14,653 and includes a comprehensive benefits package, including CalPERS retirement.  

Position:  Under the direction of the General Manager, the Finance Manager performs the business and financial duties of the Tri-Dam Project and Tri-Dam Power Authority (an affiliated entity). 

This is a professional supervisory position performing the full range of duties assigned, including creating, maintaining, and analyzing complex financial data and reports for the business and fiscal activities of the Tri-Dam entities. The manager should bring considerable skill and professional knowledge to this position, take appropriate initiative, and be fully aware of the operating procedures and policies within the department and accounting standards for the entities. The position classification is salaried management, exempt from overtime provisions.

The Finance Manager works closely with managers and administrative support staff regarding contract development, accounting, monitoring, reporting, and financial processes and procedures. The Chief Financial Officer at Oakdale Irrigation District and the Finance and Administration Manager at South San Joaquin Irrigation District will oversee the Tri-Dam Finance Manager position. 

Training and Experience:  Any combination of training and experience, which would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities, is qualifying.

A typical way to obtain the required knowledge and abilities would be:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major work in accounting or related field and five years of increasingly responsible accounting experience, including two years of supervisory responsibility. Directly related public sector experience is preferred. 

Special Requirements:  Possession of a valid California driver's license. Ability to safely drive in snow or icy conditions.
