Summary of Position:
The Department of Economics & Finance in the Cameron School of Business at the University of North Carolina Wilmington seeks an Instructor of Finance to begin Fall 2018.
Minimum Requirements:
Applicants should have a minimum of a Master’s degree in a related field, three years professional work experience in finance, and hold the CFA designation. Candidates should also have the ability to participate in other engagement activities, such as conferences, service learning opportunities, or research to maintain AACSB accreditation as a scholarly practitioner or instructional practitioner.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ph.D. is preferred. Our campus is known for applied and experiential learning, and our mission is to attract high quality, diverse students. Thus, the successful candidate must be capable of excellent, dynamic teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Because this position will support our graduate program, we specifically seek faculty with graduate teaching expertise who demonstrate skill or interest in teaching online graduate courses.
Primary Function of Organizational Unit:
The Economics and Finance Department supports the Bachelor of Science with concentrations in Economics and Finance and the Bachelor of Arts in Economics. At the graduate level, the department supports courses in economic environmental studies, the Master of Business Administration, and upcoming M.S. Finance & Investment Management and M.S. Business Analytics.
