About the Job:

The Academic Recruitment & Faculty Development Analyst uses advanced skills and knowledge of system-wide and/or campus Academic Personnel policies and programs to address strategic academic personnel issues and to resolve complex issues and situations. Provides guidance, training, and direction to other Academic Personnel or affiliated unit staff members.

Note: The level determined to be hired for this position will be based on qualifications.

 

Level 3 Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology or related area and three years of progressively responsible related experience or equivalent experience/training.
• Requires in-depth knowledge of and ability to apply/interpret organization and college policies and procedures which govern academic HR.
• Excellent critical and innovative thinking to address complex issues and present nuanced analyses.
• Thorough knowledge of system wide and organization policies, union contracts, procedures and practices that govern academic HR administration.
• Thorough knowledge of organization and college goals, priorities and values and the legal and human implications of decisions.
• Ability to analyze complex management issues; develop project scope and solutions, give professional advice to senior officials and make critical decisions regarding personnel.

Level 4 Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology or related area and five years of progressively responsible related experience or equivalent experience/training.
• Professional Certification, preferred.
• Requires advanced knowledge of and ability to apply/interpret system-wide, campus and college policies and procedures which govern academic personnel.
• Knowledge of applicant tracking software, and proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and/or similar programs.
• Ability to analyze complex management issues; develop project scope and solutions, give professional advice to senior officials.
• Knowledge of principles, methods, and techniques of human resource administration related to the area of recruitment and professional development.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, including presentation skills.
• Ability to efficiently coordinate multiple projects under the pressure of deadlines.
• Knowledge of current applicable federal and state laws or regulations related to the area of recruitment.
• Knowledge of campus and academic affairs formal and informal policies and procedures.
• Demonstrated initiative, tact and planning skills. 
• Requires political acumen.
